One worrying landslide threatens homes near the former landfill in the district of the City of Diamond Lake and threatens to block the stream Corvino. We report to the mayors of the municipalities of Diamond and Buonvicino and the competent authorities the danger to people and things that could be invested by the same landslide. The heavy rains of recent days may deserve special attention because facilitate the flow downstream of the material.
Unfortunately, very little attention is always that municipalities address the conservation of soil and land use, the high Tirreno Cosentino, cemented by a wild since the seventies, does not stop the speculation from the coast to the hill. A hill, ours is not abandoned by man more devoted to agriculture, which in recent years has been the scene of land consumption, unjustified by the actual housing needs of residents, and substantial capital investment instrument of public or private sources of questionable origin, with no return of employment.
With this appeal the local club PRC calls for caution and the rejection of speculative logic that could cause calamities foretold forever and compromise the protection of our natural heritage and agriculture.
